A bit about me:

1. i.I'm a college-educated high school dropout with an unquenchable thirst for learning about the world.
2. ii.I was formerly in a Forward-Deployed Engineer–resembling role before leaving the workforce to raise and home-school my now 4.5-year-old son.
3. iii.I spent a couple of years living on a sailing catamaran and traveling the Caribbean with my husband, son, and our two cats; the lessons I learned as a sailor in a storm profoundly transformed my ability to cope with stressful situations, to see those situations as, yes, grueling, but also life-changing opportunities to expand my comfort zone.
4. iv.I currently live in St. Petersburg, Florida, where I'm living my dream of suburban homesteading. I'm growing a lot of fruit trees (mango, papaya, and guava are some of my favorites), a vegetable garden, and building my collection of native plants.
5. v.I love working on personal projects or intellectual pursuits in my spare time. You can peruse some of my projects here. 🙂
